Description
WindsorONE 1×6 Trim Board
A frieze board is the line where the wall stops and the roof begins, and it is unforgiving of a joint that opens up. WindsorONE 1×6 measures 3/4″ thick by 5 1/2″ wide, and it is built for frieze, band board, water table and soffit.
Finger jointing is what keeps a board this long straight, and the material underneath is still timber. Factory priming means an even film thickness you cannot match with a brush on site. The 30 year warranty covers rot, insects and mould.
Both profiles are stocked. S4SSE is smooth throughout, S1S2E gives a rough face and a smooth one on the same board.
Lengths are 16ft and 20ft, longer than the 8ft and 16ft standard elsewhere in our range.
A cut end left bare is where water gets in, so paint it first.
At 3/4″ it splits the difference between our 11/16″ MDF and our 13/16″ hardwoods. See 1×6 boards. If the width is not right, WindsorONE 1×5 is the next size down and WindsorONE 1×8 the next size up. The rest of the WindsorONE range is worth a look if this width is not the one.
Run the frieze before the soffit goes in. Fitting it afterwards means scribing, and scribing on a primed board means touching up.
