Description
WindsorONE 1×5 Trim Board
1×5 exists for the moment when 1×4 looks mean and 1×6 looks heavy. WindsorONE 1×5 measures 3/4″ thick by 4 1/2″ wide, and it is built for casing on larger openings, corner boards and frieze on smaller elevations.
This is wood rather than PVC, so it can be cut, nailed and sanded normally. It carries a 30 year warranty, which tells you what the manufacturer expects of it.

Thickness is 3/4″ here. Our 1×5 boards in poplar and oak run 13/16″, so there is a 1/16″ step if you mix them. If you need more or less face, WindsorONE 1×4 is the next size down and WindsorONE 1×6 the next size up. Our board size guide sets out why the actual size is smaller than the name suggests.
Because it is an uncommon width, check the lead time before you commit a whole elevation to it.
