Description
WindsorONE 1×3 Trim Board
Board and batten lives or dies on the batten, and 1×3 is the width most elevations want. WindsorONE 1×3 measures 3/4″ thick by 2 1/2″ wide, and it is built for battens over siding, narrow casing and backing behind brickmould.
The guarantee is 30 years, which is longer than most people keep a house. Finger jointed real wood, not composite, which means it behaves exactly like solid stock under a saw. Every piece carries three factory coats of acrylic latex.
Pick S4SSE for a smooth finish or S1S2E, which is rough sawn on one face and can be turned whichever way the detail wants.
Any cut exposes bare wood, so seal it before the piece goes up.
The 3/4″ thickness lines up with standard solid stock, unlike our MDF, which runs 11/16″. Compare with 1×3 boards. Should this be the wrong width, WindsorONE 1×2 is the next size down and WindsorONE 1×4 the next size up. Every stocked size sits in the WindsorONE range, and the board size guide explains the numbers.
Space battens off the sheet layout rather than the eye, and the wall will read straight from the street.
