Description
The MC567 Eagle Base Cap adds a substantial decorative upper edge to a layered baseboard design. Measuring 11/16″ × 2 7/16″, this profile suits traditional and Colonial interiors where the woodwork plays a noticeable role in the room’s character. Combine it with compatible baseboards to create a balanced transition between the wall and the finished base.
Before updating existing trim, check how the Eagle profile sits against the baseboard’s upper edge. Its height makes the proportions of the complete assembly especially important. Hold a sample in place to judge how much of the base remains visible and whether the cap meets nearby door trim neatly. Viewing the combination from across the room can help you assess its overall scale.
The primed finger joint pine is suited to a painted finish. Carrying the same color and sheen across the cap, baseboard, and door surrounds helps connect the separate elements, while the profile adds depth through light and shadow.
For a similarly sized alternative, compare the MC140 Estates Base Cap. Both profiles are 11/16″ thick, but the Estates measures 2 3/8″ high, just 1/16″ shorter than the Eagle. With dimensions this close, comparing samples is particularly useful for choosing the decorative shape you prefer.
