Description
WindsorONE 5/4×4 Trim Board
Standard 3/4 inch casing sits almost flush against siding. This does not. WindsorONE 5/4×4 measures 1 1/16″ thick by 3 1/2″ wide, and it is built for substantial casing, rail caps and porch trim.
The warranty runs 30 years against the three things that finish off exterior wood. The joints are what stop it cupping, and they disappear under primer.
The two profiles differ only in surface. S4SSE reads modern, S1S2E reads traditional.
Field cuts want a coat of primer before they see weather.
Thickness here is 1 1/16″, the same as poplar but heavier than the 1″ our MDF and alder run. See 5/4×4 boards. Should this be the wrong width, WindsorONE 5/4×3 is the next size down and WindsorONE 5/4×5 the next size up. Cross check it against the board size guide before ordering.
Pair it with 5/4 corner boards or the casing will overhang them, which looks like a mistake even when it is not.
