Our nominal 5/4×12 boards are part of the 5/4x range and are stocked in 1 species: Sage FJP.
Every 5/4×12 board we stock is milled to 1 1/16″ x 11 1/4″, surfaced and ready to prime or finish. If you want the full picture across every size we carry, the board size guide sets out nominal against actual for the whole range.
5/4x, said “five quarter”, sits between 1x boards and 2x boards. It gives you more substance than a 1x without the bulk of a 2x, which is why it has long been the traditional choice for stair treads, window stools and shelving that needs to carry weight without sagging.
