What we actually do
Worth knowing before you apply, because people often assume something else.
We are a distributor
We stock and sell trim. Baseboard, casing, crown, wainscot, boards, sheet goods, siding. Four showrooms, real inventory on the racks, and people behind the counter who know what is on them.
Custom when stock will not do
When a profile is not in the catalogue, or someone needs to match trim in a 1920s house, we arrange custom milling to match. That is a service we coordinate, not a factory we run.
Two kinds of customer
A homeowner doing one room, and a contractor doing forty. Both walk through the same door and both need a straight answer, which is most of what the job is.
What the work is like
Written plainly, because you deserve to know before you spend a morning on an application.
It is showroom and warehouse
Some of it is talking to customers about trim. Some of it is pulling orders, loading trucks and keeping the racks straight. Most people here do a bit of both, and you will be on your feet.
You will learn the product
Nobody arrives knowing the difference between a base cap and a panel mould. Everyone here learned it on the floor from someone who already knew. We expect that to take months, not days.
Predictable hours
We open at 7am and close at 4pm on weekdays, 9am to 2pm on Saturday, and we are closed Sundays. Busy season brings some overtime, but the schedule is not a mystery.
How to apply
We accept applications year round and keep them on file. When something opens at a showroom, that file is the first place the manager looks.
Download the employment application
Fill it in at your own pace. Print it and bring it to any showroom, or scan it and email it back. No online account, no password, no portal.

Any of our four showrooms, during opening hours. Ask for the manager. If they are out on the floor you may wait a few minutes, and that is normal.
Email it
Scan or photograph every page, attach a resume if you have one, and tell us which showroom is closest to you so it reaches the right manager.
What happens next
- 1
We read it
Usually within a week. In a busy stretch it can take two.
- 2
A short phone call
Fifteen minutes. What you have done, what you want, whether the hours and the commute work.
- 3
Come see the showroom
You walk the floor with the manager. This matters more than the interview. You should leave knowing whether you want the job.
- 4
An answer either way
Including a no. Being left wondering is the worst part of applying anywhere and we are not going to do that to you.
Questions people actually ask
Do you have openings right now?
It changes. We take applications year round rather than posting and pulling listings, so send one in and we will keep it on file.
Do I need experience with trim?
No. Knowing the product helps, but we would rather teach someone willing than wait for someone who already knows.
Can I apply to more than one location?
Yes. Say so on the form and list them in order of preference.
Is there weekend work?
Saturdays, 9am to 2pm, on a rotation. Never Sundays.
What should I wear if I come in?
Closed-toe shoes. Part of the walk-through is out in the warehouse.
I applied before and did not hear back.
Apply again and say so. Openings move, and a second application is not held against you.
