Description
WindsorONE 5/4×10 Trim Board
Ten inches is a comfortable tread, and 1 1/16 inch is enough thickness to keep it from flexing underfoot. WindsorONE 5/4×10 measures 1 1/16″ thick by 9 1/4″ wide, and it is built for stair treads, wide caps and bench tops.
Mould, rot and insects all fall inside the 30 year warranty. The finger jointed construction keeps it straight, and being real wood it takes a nail without predrilling. It arrives primed, so the only finishing left on site is topcoat.
S4SSE or S1S2E. The rough face on the S1S2E holds a heavier paint film if you want one.
Cut ends need priming, and it is the step most often skipped.
At 1 1/16″ this is a genuine five quarter board. Compare the alternatives in 5/4×10 boards. Should this be the wrong width, WindsorONE 5/4×8 is the next size down and WindsorONE 5/4×12 the next size up. Dimensions for the whole range live in the board size guide.
Check local code before specifying it as a structural tread. Some jurisdictions want more thickness on open risers.
