Description
WindsorONE 5/4×8 Trim Board
Anywhere someone will put a coffee cup, a plant pot or a hand, the board wants to be thicker than 3/4 inch. WindsorONE 5/4×8 measures 1 1/16″ thick by 7 1/4″ wide, and it is built for deep stools, deck skirts, caps and bench seats.
Finger jointed real wood, not composite, which means it behaves exactly like solid stock under a saw. Every piece carries three factory coats of acrylic latex.
Two finishes, same board underneath: S4SSE smooth, S1S2E with one rough face.
Any cut exposes bare wood, so seal it before the piece goes up.
The 1 1/16″ thickness is consistent across every 5/4 size, which our 5/4×8 boards are not. If the width is not right, WindsorONE 5/4×6 is the next size down and WindsorONE 5/4×10 the next size up. The WindsorONE range lists all 21 sizes with their net dimensions.
Back prime it. Horizontal surfaces hold water for longer than anything vertical and that is where paint fails first.
