Description
WindsorONE 5/4×3 Trim Board
Same width as a 1×3, half an inch more thickness, and a shadow line you can actually see. WindsorONE 5/4×3 measures 1 1/16″ thick by 2 1/2″ wide, and it is built for heavier battens, stair riser trim and narrow caps.
It holds paint the way wood does, which is the main thing PVC never quite manages. Three coats of acrylic latex primer go on at the factory, so it arrives ready for topcoat. Rot and insects are what kill exterior trim, and both are covered for 30 years.
S1S2E is the reversible one, sawn on a single face. S4SSE is smooth on all four.
Prime the ends on the bench, not after they are nailed up.
At 1 1/16″ it matches our poplar 5/4x, so the two can be mixed on one elevation. Compare with 5/4×3 boards. If the width is not right, WindsorONE 5/4×4 the next size up. The board size guide has the same figures for every species we carry.
