This item sits on top of your baseboards to add detail and character to any room. Its subtle features and rounded curves will add the finishing touch to your home that you’ve always wanted.
Our Monica Base Cap moulding comes in one size, but you can choose from six different wood species. It’s available in Finger Joint Pine (primed), Alder, White Oak, Maple, Northern Red Oak, and Poplar, with various lengths available, including 8-, 9-, 10-, 12-, 14-, or 16-foot. However, we recommend you contact your local store for availability. You can also see a sample of this item with our 4-inch piece instead.
We offer free next-day delivery on orders over $300 within a 50-mile radius of any of our stores. For orders less than $300 within our radius, we charge a $65 delivery fee. For an existing baseboard upgrade, start by checking the shape of the upper edge and how the Monica profile will sit against it. A sample lets you assess the fit before ordering full lengths. Pay particular attention to where the cap meets your door casings, since its projection affects how neatly those transitions come together.
The choice of finish gives you another way to personalize the result. Painting the cap and baseboard the same color helps them read as one continuous assembly. For stained woodwork, choose a species that complements the existing trim and test the stain on a sample to assess the color and grain together.
